Its officially winter here in northern Michigan and Tip’n the Mitten and Flowers by Josie are now closed on Wednesdays to enjoy some of the beauty and fun there is to see in our great state! The picture above is just one of many fun trips to wonderful, unique or must-see destinations in Michigan that we have explored! Taken at Whitefish Point, one of our favorite places, it perfectly illustrates what we enjoy when we travel!
If you have never followed our journeys, you are in for a treat! Each Wednesday (weather permitting) Stacy and Kate head out on an adventure. Sometimes we stay close to town with feature locations including the Rialto Theater, the Rayburn property, Hartwick Pines etc. But, sometimes we go further to even meet our vendors and get sneak peaks of products like Rose Valley Winery and Bee Well Meadery. Other times we go even further to the far reaches of the state like Eagle Habor, South Rockwood and even the Smithsonian in DC last year to see some Keweenaw copper 😉 and our friends!
After our trip, we take a minute to upload some photos to our facebook page, you can find it here. If you are the first one to guess where we are, you win a prize! Just to iterate the specifics. You must 1. Tell us what the actual place is and 2. what city/location it is in, be specific please!!! For example, if you say, hey, thats the North Country Trail, well, you better be more specific than that, because, that is a GIANT area. If you guess only partly, someone can swoop in and snag your prize before you finish your guess.
Lastly, have fun! We all love some quality time off! Now that we are getting settled into our new building, we are looking forward to taking a minute to breath and enjoy the beauty and talent our great state has to offer! Please do the same or at least do so vicariously through us 😉 !
