Tip’n the Mitten is proud to offer quality products from a new Michigan vendor, Remiusables. Dedicated to doing her part to make the world around her a better place, Remi of Remiusables offers hand-crafted, reusable household products including her “un”sponges, “un”paper towel and more!
From her website:
Remiusables is a home based business that creates eco-friendly cloth alternatives to the disposable household products we often mindlessly throw away.
When I Remi, Owner/creator, of Remiusables became pregnant with my daughter Ella in 2013 I decided to cloth diaper. After Ella was born in 2014 I realized I was still tossing a ton of disposable wipes in the trash.
I didn’t have a lot of sewing experience, but my mom taught me the basics when I was young and I had done some basic sewing for a previous home I lived in. I decided to make my own cloth wipes. At the time I had a very basic sewing machine which was borrowed from my Mother in law. After cutting up a bunch of flannel receiving blankets I had around 80 cloth wipes. This led me to wonder what else I could replace with cloth. That is how all of this started. Since then I have reached over 700 sales on Etsy, I’ve sold at a few vendor events, and I also have my product in two Michigan stores. Remiusables has been featured on Buzzfeed twice, both times featuring family cloth! Two local papers have written about Remiusables and in August Remiusables has a spread in Greencraft magazine!
